FAQs

  • All three techniques are part of the semi-permanent makeup category aimed at creating the illusion of fuller brows. These procedures involve a licensed professional using a sterile tool to gently penetrate the skin and deposit pigment. Microblading utilizes a tool consisting of tiny needles to create precise, hair-like strokes. However, individuals with oily skin may encounter challenges as the pigment tends to fade faster, potentially leading to blurred strokes, especially in areas with larger pores. While INKSTHETICS has achieved exceptional healed results with microblading on oily skin, it is still not the recommended technique.

Combination brows encompass the combination of Microblading and Ombré Powder Brows. This technique caters to individuals seeking an eyebrow shape that retains the appearance of hair strokes while offering fullness in the center and tail. While it may be suitable for some individuals with oily skin, it is generally not the suggested choice.

Ombré Powder brows, on the other hand, are ideal for those with oily skin, large pores, or a tendency for bleeding. Achieved using a single needle machine, this technique creates a soft or bold powdered effect based on the client's preference.

  • Typically, the pain level associated with the procedure ranges from 0 to 2 on a scale of 1 to 10, although individual experiences may vary. At INKSTHETICS, we prioritize our clients' comfort by employing a two-layered approach to numbing. Prior to the skin being opened, a numbing cream is applied, followed by a numbing gel after the skin is opened. It is rare for clients to experience pain caused by the manual tool or machine used during the process. Our numbing agents consist of 5% lidocaine, ensuring effective pain management.

It is important to note that the treatment only affects the epidermis and does not impact any nerves or muscles, unlike traditional tattooing methods. Additionally, it is worth considering that sensitivity can be heightened during the menstrual cycle, which may influence the level of discomfort experienced.

  • Repeatedly performing microblading on the same area without sufficient time between sessions can potentially lead to scarring. To ensure the well-being of our clients, at INKSTHETICS, we strictly limit the number of microblading sessions to two within a year. When the initial session and the second session are completed as recommended, scarring is unlikely to occur.

However, if microblading sessions are conducted every six months, there is a higher risk of scarring. It is ultimately the client's decision to determine whether they are willing to take this risk in continuing with microblading. Once the two initial microblading sessions are completed, it is crucial to allow the pigment to fade by approximately 90% before scheduling any subsequent sessions. At this stage, alternative options such as powder brows may be considered. Our skilled brow artists will provide the best recommendation based on each client's specific circumstances and desired outcome.

  • We advise clients to schedule their touch-up appointment between 6 to 8 weeks from their initial appointment, which will be FREE!

Refreshes can be conducted every one year, every two years, or every three years. If it has been over 4 years since the last session or if the brow has completely faded, the client will be subject to the pricing of a first session. Refresh prices remain consistent regardless of the duration since the last appointment or the amount of pigment remaining on the brow.

For detailed information on a refresh, we kindly request clients to email us at inksthetics.dmv@gmail.com BEFORE booking a refresh session.
